Nepacs will be holding the annual general meeting and public meeting on Thursday 10 November 2016 at Durham Town Hall, Market Place, Durham City, DH1 3NJ.
Members of the public are invited to attend the event from 6.30pm to hear our guest speaker Ian Blakeman, executive governor for HMP Holme House and HMP Kirklevington Grange (two of the six reform prisons included in the prison reform programme), who will give an address entitled: What next for prison reform?
Ian joined the prison service in 1989 and during his impressive career within the prison service he has been governor of HMYOI Wetherby and HMP Leeds, and held a number of positions with the national offender management service (NOMS). He joined the NOMS Board in October 2012 as director of commissioning with responsibility for commissioning all offender services and in 2013 was appointed as NOMS director of commissioning and contract management with responsibility for 13 privately run prisons.
