Nepacs CEO spends a night in the cells

  • News

The long arm of the law finally caught up with Nepacs Chief Executive Helen Attewell on 4 February 2020 when she spent a long night behind bars to raise vital funds for Nepacs. The event was organised by the Durham Police, Crime and Victims' Commissioner to raise awareness of the impact of criminalising people in crisis and the need to ensure that people in trouble with the law are kept safe.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Helen so far, your generosity will enable Nepacs to support families and children who have a loved-one in prison. Maintaining positive family ties throughout a sentence is crucial in reducing the likelihood of reoffending and the intergenerational impact on the children and young people affected.
