We are giving anyone interested in volunteering the chance to come along to the Volunteer Open Days on:

  • Sunday 24 September 2017 between 10am to 1pm at a coffee shop in Barnard Castle
  • Sunday 1 October 2017 between 11am to 4pm at the visitors centre, HMYOI Deerbolt
  • Monday 9 October 2017 from 1pm to 4pm at HMP Holme House Visitors’ Centre

Nepacs has worked across the north east region for over 135 years to help support a positive future for prisoners, their friends and families.

Nepacs have a fantastic team of volunteers working across the region, but  we are keen to recruit more volunteers at HMYOI Deerbolt, Barnard Castle and at HMP Holme House, Stockton on Tees.

There are a wide range of opportunities available here at Nepacs, including court support volunteers who offer advice and information to friends/families of defendants at Teesside Crown Court. Within HMP Holme House and Deerbolt volunteers are needed to help in the visit tea bars, visitors’ centre, youth zones, play areas and to support our family support programme which helps the family throughout the time their partner/relative is in prison and works with the family and the person in prison to plan for their release (through the Heading Home programme).

Anyone interested must book a place.

To book onto the open day please contact Emma Price, Nepacs Volunteer Coordinator by email eprice@nepacs.co.uk or call 0191 375 7278.
